Our care homes can also offer specialist help for adults with different needs including Parkinson's, Huntingdon's, Physical Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Concerns.
Specialist Care: Parkinson's
Our specialist care homes are designed to care for residents with Parkinson's. In the advanced stage of Parkinson's, it's likely that you will need extra support to carry out day-to-day tasks. We understand that Parkinson's affects everyone in different ways and therefore our person centred care plans are designed to recognise that and develop the appropriate care needs. Our pre-assessment and individual care plan will target the aspects of this sometimes complex condition to meet your needs in the best way. We recognise that this can be a difficult time for the family also and we will work closely with them to ensure they are closely involved with any transition of care arrangements.
Specialist Care: Huntingdon's Disease
The onset of Huntingdon's disease later in life can be difficult for loved ones to continue to care and support in their own homes. Our specialist care homes provide the appropriate care and support for those with Huntingdon's. We work closely with professional teams, including speech therapists to improve communication and swallowing difficulties. Where necessary we will develop a bespoke nutritious care plan that will be freshly prepared everyday by our chef, for example a high calorie diet in circumstances where weight management is a concern. We will also tailor daily activities to maintain the stimulation of both body and mind.
Specialist Care: Learning Disabilities
We provides specialist care for adults who have learning disabilities by providing a safe, comfortable and near independent life whilst providing care when they need it. Our care team will engage and stimulate adult residents with a reduced ability cope independently.
